Director, Sales Operations
We currently have a FT opening for a Director, Sales Operations in our Fairfield, NJ office.
The Director, Sales Operations is responsible for assessment, ideation, and strategizing of sales initiatives that are focused on increasing efficiency and improving sales performance. The Director will report directly to the Chief Revenue Office with the core responsibility of producing and providing data-driven metrics for sales productivity and operations that will be used for making decisions and identifying areas for improvement.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support the sales team by collecting, creating, evaluating, and optimizing data sets and sales applications
- Provide accountability for the Sales & Operations process, including coordinating input from Sales, Marketing and Finance to develop and implement the Sales & Operations Plan
- Drive and maintain senior level engagement in the Sales & Operations process, directing, driving and facilitating the decision-making process
- Drive continuous improvement to the Sales & Operations process, including the implementation of systematic changes to Salesforce system as needed.
- Provide appropriate input into business strategy development, long term planning, annual budgets and monthly forecast
- Facilitate monthly Sales & Operations Process which includes sales forecast planning and consensus between functions and stakeholders
- Monitor sales processes to identify best practices and areas for improvement
- Define, and report on, sales key performance indicators that align with overall company goals
- Implement and provide ongoing training of the sales reporting system that will monitor sales performance
- Create accurate pipeline and forecast reports
- Develop and analyze data to create dashboards as well as make insights and recommendations
- Define organizational and systematic changes that are necessary for optimizing account management and full sales workflow
The ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in the following areas:
- 4-7 years' experience in a sales operations or analytics organization
- Consulting experience is a plus (though not required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
- Complex analytical skills
- Ability to formulate problem statements and structure analysis to solve them
- Excellent proficiency in organizing and analyzing large amounts of data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and matrix teams
